I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know that I wanted to be a teacher. After teaching in public schools for several years, and having the opportunity to train in-service teachers, I realized that I wanted to help prepare the next generation of teachers. Being at SLU has allowed me to collaborate with a talented community of scholars.
I am fortunate to have had many opportunities to teach undergraduate teacher preparation classes at Saint Louis University. This section highlights my teaching philosophy, course development, student evaluations and reflections on teaching.
As a participant in the Certificate for University Teaching Skills program, I had the opportunity to be mentored by Professor Nikki Murdick. I first started as her assistant and progressed to teaching my own classes. She has written a letter of support of my teaching skills.
